Day one a foot of snow melted
With in minutes our dry creek bed was full
It breached the old dike a farmer had put in years ago
Top soil carried away was not what we wanted
A lake in the bottom field filled as fast a we could back up
The house at top of hill
Day two it was getting worse -- the waterfall was eroding the bank
Day three it raged
The waterfall eroded about thirty feet from where it first breached the dike
The sound of the water was unbelievable. The force man could not stop. All the waters have receded now -- no harm to our farm. Just amazement.

That is truly amazing and awe-inspiring! I've been out in a flood up to my upper thighs and almost couldn't stay on my feet, but this eclipses that! So thankful that no harm was done! I hope the top soil settled down where the lake ended up. Thanks for sharing those incredible photos.
Top soil has settled down. In some spots I going to retrieve it & put back into low areas. It was a site to see but we are lucky just some minor road damage.
